The Lowdown
Hungry from watching the exotic cars from the Gumball 3000 roll into the parking lot of The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, my pal and I decided to swing on into the Taco to get a bite, a drink, and cool our engines.

The Grub
I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos & he ordered the Chicken Fajitas. We both had House Margaritas, his blended, mine on the rocks. I also had a shot of the very smooth Patron Silver. Yum!

The Scene
Given the commotion on the boards, I had extra interest in eating at this fine, albeit taco-y establishment. Enough interest to convince my friend who "doesn't really like Mexican food all that much" to come along with me. After all, it's called The Pink Taco... how could we miss out!

The restaurant was just starting to get busy when we got there, with a 30 minute wait for a table for two (soon to grow to 45 minutes to an hour, as we walked out). Looking for a drink, we took our seats at a video poker machine embedded into the bar. It was a little tight, as there were people rushing to and fro, but a real party atmosphere, so it didn't bothered us a bit. When the bartender came along (very soon after our seating), he handed us two full menus. We looked at one another, and decided this was where we were going to eat.

Long story short - Though we really couldn't see much of the decor, I know the outside seating (from previous experience) is quite cozy, and the lighting appropriate. The service I found to be a bit slow, but not bad considering the already drunk patrons wanting more beer, more tequila, more everything. They were friendly and patient. The margaritas were tasty, the fajitas were perfectly prepared, and the Patron went down as smoothly as ever - who needs a lime with a fine tequila like that? MMmmm!
