As an addendum to my story, I should point out that a few years ago a dropped a ceramic dish while doing the dishes. My lightning-fast reflexes enabled me to grab it before it hit the bottom of the basin but unfortunately not before it hit the divider between the two basins. A nice deep gash gave me the unique ability to examine the muscles and tendons in my hand. A quick trip to the ER got me off dishwashing detail for months.
I'm slowly but surely proving that I am unable to do household chores.
