Babe, you have got to get some art! Watch a really high quality film, read an enthralling novel, listen to music that moves you, or just look at paintings that impress you. I love good architecture too - if there isn't any in the area, get architecture books from the library's oversize section and plop them on your coffee table for a while. Or even better, get historical art/writings/music/architecture. Experiencing something beautiful that was created hundreds of years ago will teach you that life may be short, but it is also filled with joy and light and intelligence and wonder.
