Actually, rabbits often sleep
in their litter boxes. A lot of people just fill the litter box up with hay, they'll happily spend a lot of time there.
But we don't even close the cage anymore. The only reason we have it out is to contain the food and bedding mess. He sometimes sleeps in there, but he'll also sleep behind the chair, behind the lamp table, on the front entrance linoleum, etc.
