I also feel terribly guilty.  It's been quite a while since I made the miserly decision to stay out of all birthday threads. Between the various boards I post on, every day is somebody's birthday. I crumbled under the pressure of devising a clever greeting for each occassion. Then I realized that I was posting on some folk's birthdays and not others ... which might lead to unintended false assumptions about whom I like more than so-and-so.
And so ... I have not posted a well-wisher for any of the fine folks who have posted here on their birthdays. Let me take this opportunity, then, to wish you all a Very Happy Birthday ... and thank you for letting me get it over with all at once like that!  |
And that is why I made the choice long ago to not stress over birthday threads, for my friends would not think less of me if I did not post in their thread, just as I don't think less of them for not posting in mine. So I post on my merry way and life goes on.
