Well, I made it!
I'm back in SF, safe & sound. Tango was a champion and did very well on the journey. Had some nice scenary, some fun phone calls and surprised Lisa that I got here faster than she imagined!
I passed Regan's birthplace in Dixon (Leo, if I had not had Tango with me, I would have stopped for a souvenir for you. I wanted to) Passed several presidential libraries, momuments, etc. Drove by the Bridges of Madison County (too hot to stop) and stayed in many little hamlets that truly were in the middle of nowhere. I was severely tempted to change direction and stop in Chicago.
The weather in SF has been glorious, my stuff arrives next week and I feel right at home. Just paid a visit to my old manicurist and it was good to catch up. DMV on this coming Friday and I will be all legal again.
Job interview on Monday, wish me luck!
Missed you all (and I will miss you for a few more days) earthlink screwed up my move order, so my DSL is not activated yet. Not until the 21st, ARGH (and not in the pirate sense)
