I'd find the dog another home. Or send it to a rescue or something. It's sad. People should be able to rent dogs before they buy one. Then they can see if they can really handle being a dog owner. I swear, if there was a way to flush cats and dogs like people do with fish, people would do it. Ugh.
I used to be pro-declaw cats and now I'm not. Even though cat scratches make my arms red and inflamed.
