Ooh, I got to do the same thing today, only I did it by email (much easier to be snide via email), and I have good reason*.
Power went out for 2.5 hours yesterday at 2:45PM. I called and they very clearly informed me that they had no idea why the power was out and when it might return.
Except that last night at 2AM, our phone rang. It was a recording from Edison informing us of a planned outage at approx. 2:30PM on Monday, to end no later than 7PM.
So let's see. 1) Why the fvck was I getting this call at 2AM? Did some genius put "AM" instead of "PM" for when it should call. And 2) If I'm getting this message about this planned outage, why the heck was I told that they didn't know why the power was out or when it would come back on?
*Err, not to say you don't have good reason. Just that my reason for griping went beyond being annoyed at my ridiculously high bill
