I never remember my dreams more than a few minutes after waking up. I rarely remember them at all.
But sometimes I'll wake up in the middle and then later in the day I'll remember that when I woke up I could remember what the dream was but will no longer remember anything about it.
The only dream from my entire life I remember was a recurring one when I was a child where I battled some other malignant entity to create a longer infinite list. It makes no sense but I would always wake up from it (having always lost) very agitated.
