The thing about Live Journal is that it's such a misnomer - think of it rather as a blog - your place to essay about the world, your life, and the people in it.
Those hard copy journals can't be electronic becasue they just are not cumbustible. That is where you hide your scandelous secrets that friends and family only discover after you are dead (or careless and happen to leave it out somewhere). Everyone should have one - or at least some scandelous secret to conceal somewhere.
