^ Yep, second season was lame. Hated it.


The odd thing about Deadwood is - because about 90% of the characters are actual people - I can live with an ambiguous ending that doesn't tie everything up in a bow. These are real people, with real lives that go on to different conclusions down the road.

I realize almost every detail of plot and character is fictional ... but the real existence of these people makes a non-ending ending oddly satisfactory.

And yes, yes ... I was very happy to see some good soliloquising ... not only from E.B. (love him!), but a nice Indian Chief Head-in-a-box speech from Al ... a rarity this season. Glad they bought that back for the finale.

And I'm glad they took some time to end things on an interesting note for Brian Cox's character introduced just this year. Best.Guest.Star.Ever.
