Well, they are popular, but a lot of people like to argue that they're not stylish. And, frankly, they're not remotely stylish. (Thanks for pointing out the new flats though, BTD! I so want a pair!)
But, they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, and my comfort is more important to me than someone's opinion of what's on my feet. (After all, walking all over the opinions isn't nearly as comfy.
)
I'm not into the zany colors, although I do have a "fun" flowered pair for the beach.
Oh, and another reason the WNTW hosts would cringe at me - I just bought new faded black jeans last night with zippered ankles, ala the 80's. I've missed those!! And, I'm wearing them right now.
