with the teachers I've met and worked with personally and knowing what I do about guns and firearms in combat situations, armed teachers in a classroom full of kids is (one of) the last things I would ever think of as a 'good idea'.
taser? sprays? maybe...a BIG maybe....but guns? not only "no" but "773H no!"
how about some lessons in crisis management, a few alarms and monitoring equipment? hand to hand defensive techniques? even some lessons on hostage negotiations and surviving captive situations first.
I'd rather see a teacher in body armor willing to put themselves on the line before issuing weapons to any more people than already have them.
