The Art of Art Clokey
Art Clokey, the creator of Gumby, passed away to-day, and though his passing is all ready mentioned in our death thread, I think the guy deserves a little more, what? So, for your viewing pleasure, here are a couple of examples of his work:
Art Clokey's 1968 episode of Gumby All Broken Up Art's groundbreaking 1953 short, Gumbasia From his tribute in the L.A. Times In the 1970s, Clokey studied Zen Buddhism, traveled to India to study with gurus and experimented with LSD and other drugs, though all of that came long after the creation of Gumby, his son said. How about that! So much for following the advice of David and Goliath! You, go, Art, with bad self!

Somewhere in the 80s we got to hear Art Clokey speak and show off a number of his films including Mandala which was an awesome abstract claymation masterpiece.
