Am I the only one who crys watching tv or a movie?
I just watched LOST tonight and I cried because one of the characters died. I always catch myself crying at stuff like that. God forbid you take me to see a sad movie! When I went to see Titanic I cried like a baby both times I saw it in the theatre!! I won't watch Lassie Come Home (a personal favorite of mine) or Old Yeller cuz I know I'll cry. Tell me I'm not the only one!

I should really be putting this in the confessional thread, but every time I watch the movie 1776 (which I do every year around Independence Day), I get choked up during the song "Momma Look Sharp". Never fails.

Shagilicious Disneyland!!

Um, I cry during Disney ads. Like when the family didn't wait until the baby could walk and then the baby walked.....right into Mickey's arms (my daughter had that Gap outfit, too!). Or the little girl who waited her whole life to meet Mickey.......or the kid telling the people on the elevator that his sister was a souvenir.....or the proposal with the glass slipper......
And I've yet to make it through a Hallmark commercial without sobbing, especially when the guy with Down Syndrome gets his first apartment..... Dammit. Now my eyes are watering....hmmm....must be the cat. Yeah, that's it. I'm suddenly allergic to the cat.

I'll admit to being a cries-like-a-three-year-old-girl guy at times. I've come to the conclusion that Extreme Makeover - Home Edition is actually a conspiracy by ABC to dehydrate me through my tear ducts. Every time the family comes home I turn into a sniffing, choking, Kleenex mangling mess.
Damn you Ty Pennington!!!! Certain movies get to me too, though never the mushy romantic ones. Stories of human achievement are what open the floodgates the most for me. As embarrassing as it is to admit, Rudy was the first flik that made my eyes trickle. When the big guy on the sidelines starts clapping and chanting... then the crowd... then Rudy’s parents hear the entire stadium cheering their son...... :sniff: :sniff: Damn you Sean Astin!!! ![]() |

The "It's not your fault, Will" scene in "Good Will Hunting" gets me every time. Surprisingly (to me, at least) was that "Beauty and the Beast" made me cry.

Nothing on tv can make me cry. Tv sucks ass.
There are, however, several songs that can get me bawling like a baby.

Disneyland commercials are the worst (for getting all teary). Last year there was a commercial with a man sitting on a bench and I can't really remember what the voice over was saying but when the scene panned out he was sitting next to his little sister at Disneyland. Beautiful, I teared up every time.
Maybe this should go in the confessional thread but I used to tear up watching Milo and Otis. Lame I'm sure. Just the thought of the little guys getting lost and trying to find their way home killed me. Not to mention we had an orange kitty and a pug at the time. |
