I've played games like this before. Entertainment value varies widely from game to game.

It all depends upon who you're playing with.

Exactly, and even on the moods of the people you're playing with.

Sometimes it comes together and is great fun and sometimes it fizzles out almost immediately.

But when it's on, these kind of things are great party games.
