Sorry, board died on me....

Other because I do tend to get music from friends. A lot. A good chunk of my music was downloaded for free ages ago or ripped from friends' CDs. Definitely worth a mention.

Lately I'm listening to a lot of podcasts, and I get music that way. Coverville,Whole Wheat Radio, Tracks up the Tree, Karin's Themed Podcasts... and Jesse's, when he plays music and if he plays anything at all! *cough*

I also purchase CDs of live music acts I see. In the last few months, that's been Tres Cuerdas (kicka ss flamenco guitarrists at the Santa Monica Promenade) and Clay Allen (pleasant ukeleleist at the Hollywood Farmer's Market.) It'll be the Ditty Bops (who defy description) when I go see them on the 30th.

The 30th? Hmmmmm.

I buy music the old fashioned way - from music stores and their ilk. I like to have the actual CD, cover art, liner notes, etc. After I bring the music home, I make copies for my car or other portable devices.

Occasionally, I get copies of things from friends. Sometimes I love what I get and I will go buy a "legit" copy. I also am an old pro at scouring used record stores. I buy a LOT of used music as well. Funny, but I never seem to sell any of my own. Our collection could use a bit of culling as it is easily over the 2000 mark.

The only think I have ever downloaded are bands that don't have CDs available.

I'm giving the Rhaosody 14-Day free trial a go. It is rather nifty to be able to listen to just about whatever I want. Right now I'm rocking out ELO's Time. Possibly the greatest album of all time.

I'll post a full review of the service after I have a chance to kick the tires a bit.

What is this thing called podcast?

I get my music from anywhere and everywhere. Mostly, I'm still into purchasing tangible stuff (CDs and LPs), but I'll grab a download if the CD isn't readily available.

Ditto.

I like having the cover art and official printed lyrics, even if it all goes on my computer and iPod.
