Cinecon for the locals in LA

Labor Day weekend (for those perchance wanting to sample Twist at the Kodak Center) might want to also investigate the annual film geek fest, Cinecon 41. If you head down there, I am not sure of the day, but a MUST see for anyone is the pre-code, pre-cut version of Baby Face starring Barbara Stanwyck (literally, a girl who sleeps her way to the top). I have not seen this version, but I love the pre-code post-cut version. So if you like snappy diologue, gorgeous gowns and art deco sets, this is a fun picture to see. I believe it will be screening in 35mm at the Egyptian.

I saw the pre-code version of Baby Face at school last year, its some pretty wild stuff.
