Casual Dining in Cisco?
I go up to San Francisco/Burlingame about once every other month and was wondering if anbody knows of some good places to have a group (about 16-18) dinner on a Saturday night.

Have you ever been to the Matterhorn restaurant?
I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but I'm amused by it for obvious reasons. |

First of all, in SF everything is casual, so it's more a question of price range.
Last Saturday night, eight of us went out to dinner atForeign Cinema - the food was great and the atmosphere is funky. Big thumbs up from me and mine. I have a ton of suggestions for dining in our fair city, so feel free to PM me (or if the LoTers find this interesting - we can keep it in the thread).

... That is, until to-night. (Dramatic chord strikes) Yes, I never forgot. I was looking forward to reading of the culinary delights found in my beloved city, Burlingame. But what did I get instead? Nothing. Not so much as a word on the subject. Indeed! Actually, I never noticed this thread the first time. But, whilst searching around the LoT, my tired eyes misread the threads title as Casual Dining With Crisco and it piqued my curiosity. Anyway, sohow'seatin'inBurlingame?

All right, Tref. Just for you, I'm going to have to go to Burlingame.
I think last time I was there I had a beverage and pastry at a delightful little café called... 'Bucks? Buckstars? Something like that. Actually, there is a great pancake shop in Burlingame called 'Stacks'. It's a mini-chain in the Bay Area, though the Burlingame location is the only one I've ever been to. I'll update the thread on Monday - we have dinner plans Sunday at a place I'm dying to try in San Jose. |
