Monet exhibition at Bellagio

Just noticed this...

Monet on view through May 30, 2005

http://www.bgfa.biz/exhibitions.html

Quote:
Claude Monet: Masterworks from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston presents works spanning five decades of the artist’s career and features many of the his most celebrated and recognizable paintings including Grainstack (1891), Rouen Cathedral Tour d’Albane (Morning Effect) (1894), and one of his most beloved later masterpieces, The Water Lily Pond (1900), which features Monet’s signature Japanese footbridge, one of the most recognizable images in the history of Western Art.

Anybody going?

Ooooh, I may just have to take a trip to Vegas to see this exhibit. I have been a Monet fan for as long as I can remember. In high school, I wanted to design my prom dress based on a painting of (I think) his wife. I will try to find a link to the painting.

I've just about got Mox talked into a whirlwind one-day trip to Vegas in the next month or so (heck, I live in North Hollywood, so the drive and out on a Saturday should be pretty fast). This is so definitely going on the list of things to do, along with:

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden
Spice Market buffet at Aladdin
Seeing the lions at MGM
Star Trek experience (for the inner geek) and Quark's Bar
The fountain show at Bellagio
Gondola ride at Venetian
Drinks at the Eiffel Tower at Paris

That should fill up our day quite nicely....

Ohhhh, thanks for the info. I'll be in Las Vegas in May. I am definitely going to order some tickets in advance for this.

The strip is just overwhelmingly kewl. Didn't make it to even a tenth of the places on my to-do list in those few days.

(Although I must admit I don't have bigtime love for Downtown except the happy thoughts I had when seeing hotels again like the Four Queens and the Horseshoe which I considered bigtime swanky back in the 60s when I was a little kid and my parents took me there.)

I won't be able to get to Vegas, but I just read that we will be hosting (NMAC) the Levin collection: Impressionist collection .

That one I just may be able to swing.

I'll have to check this exhibit out when I am there in April.
I was looking for things to do anyway. My husband says I'll be on my own every day and all but two nights.

I'll be there at the end of April. I think I need to fit this into the schedule.
