My Vegas Trip

Ok this is a long trip report so bare with me. Those of you who love Daughtry and Bon Jovi the report has that in it so if you bare with me and read all the way thru til the show then you'll be rewarded....

Friday 11:30am headed out with my mom driving. Her Jeep's CD player decides to eat one of my Bon Jovi cd's. But no biggie i have tons of others but it won't spit the stupid CD out so we have the radio no cd player so no Bon Jovi.

I'm like great start of the trip but laugh myself all the way to Vegas.

We arrive around 4:30pm after noticing the billboard outside Mandalay Bay and seeing Bon Jovi up there eeek....so we stayed at Saharah since the monorail stop was right there. Check into the hotel room was 1078 nice number. We freshen up a bit then head down to play some slots and then eat dinner. I sit down at video poker since my mom wanted to play that. Started teachin her on her machine then went to the end machine and put in no joking $1 and bet only 1 credit (dumb move on my part but hey i had no idea) and what pops up but a pair of Aces so i hold those cards and hit deal button only to find that two more Aces pops up along with a 3 causing me to win $100 in quarters. So i cash out had to have an atendant come and add money to the machine to pay me out. Get dollars for my coins and head to dinner. Then we gambled a bit more basically keeping the $20 we put in. then headed back to the room to get ready for bed.

Saturday morning. By the time we woke up and got ready it was late. Seeing how we were to meet some of my Bon Jovi friends from the fan club board at 5pm we went prepared to not come back to the hotel room til after the concert. taking what we needed with us.

Since it was almost noontime we headed on the monorail to The Mirage via walking thru Harrah's/Imperial Palace casinos. Arriving we went to their champagne brunch where i had free champange DonPerinon (spelling here) and for the first time Gelato for dessert. After rolling out of the buffet place we decided to do some gamblin since we had a few hours to kill and work our way down the strip to Mandalay Bay.

So we stop inside the Mirage at the nickel slots. I took the end one and my mom next to me to my right. Basically those machines you had a max bet of 5 credits at a time. I put in $5 of my own money and started playing. Not winning anything big just a few here and there i decided to cash out and go behind those machines to play the others. Something called me over there. So the end machine had a 1 payout bet line but the one next to it had the 5 and i had a feelin about that particular machine. So i sat down and put in my ticket voucher and started to play. Getting down to around 50ish credits i swear i hear my grandma's voice telling me how it is good i share the trip not go by myself kinda thing. (she always said that) and i felt this brush against my shoulders upper back and no one was there. And then i hit a nice sized jackpot $165.50. Basically two 10x payout symbols with a 3 bar on the payout line. So basically 81x40 which was like 3280something credits. My mom heard me scream a lil and i stuck my head between the machines and told her i hit a jackpot so she cashed out hers and came over...lmao i cashed out and got my money and we headed down to Ceasar's Palace and i heard "I'll Be There For You" over at Ceasar's. Then to the monorail station at Balley's and over to Mandalay Bay.

So we arrive at Mandalay Bay on time and i find my friends. They include my mom in the preconcert dinner drinks etc. Then it's time to line up to go inside. Good thing i brought my digital camera. Security or lack of it was funny i was easily able to bring my camera inside as well as a ton of people at that.

i had section 104 which was side stage view on Richie's side and had the big screen above me but didn't really need it since i had a nice stage view. I used my zoom but sometimes it was way too much seriously. I did get a candid shot of Jon wiping the sweat from his face with his back to the audience but facing Tico and his drums. Only if you were on the side could you have gotten that shot.

Let me back up. Chris Daughtry rocked the house down. Funny thing was I had way better seats than anyone else in the fan club or the fan club trip. But the VIP's and what not down in front on the floor were dead beats. Poor Jon kept trying to get them to get up and dance but they kept sitting down. It was bad and the people around me the same thing. It was rather sad. I stood up the whole time.

I loved how Jonny told the crowd..."Vegas i've been a good boy but a bad man" lmao...and "welcome to Jonny's Church can i get an Amen?" lmao Hearing 3 of the new songs off the new album awesome.

So we ended up meeting a couple of my friends while getting a free Tiger Jam poster (i did end up buying two new concert vegas tshirts and two iron on patches and a yellow rubber Slippery When Wet seat cushion although people used them as frisbees trying to get them up on stage). But then called it a nite since my mom had trouble knowing where to get off hte monorial it was best i went back to the room with her.

We got up on Sunday got ready, ate breakfast, checked out of the hotel and went shopping then left.

I read all the way through, and there was no payoff for this set up. Perhaps because I kept my clothes on.

AGGHH!!! I missed your call on Saturday night!! AGGHH!!

I was sitting through the very, very, very painfully long movie, Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End!! I turned my phone to silent and then saw that you had called after we exited the Theater!! Damn!! I was about to call you back, but was worried it might too be late!

I'm glad you had an awesome time!! Thank you so much for posting all of the details!!!!

Ally oh no

i am so sorry you missed my calls. Seriously what time did you exit the theater? Chris played from about 8:45pm-9:30pm so along time really considering late start and weren't ready to start at 8:30pm. I'm emailing pics of Bon Jovi to a friend at the moment that couldn't be there with me. I thought for sure you answered the phone darn it. So sorry you missed my calls cuz i did call you like i said i would.
