Talking Doctor Who Returns...

Yes, SciFi is beginning to air the 3rd season/series of doctor who (2005 era) this Friday... Sadly BBC America picked up the rights to Torchwood and are not airing it yet, so some of it will not make much sense near the end...

I'm excited but not really good, because i already read spoilers for all the episodes but will still watch to get a good visualization on everything...

Who's your favorite doctor? favorite episode?

Nothing beats the Tom Baker years. I still want that coat. When I was a kid I had a huge crush on Peter Davison. To the point that I wore red question marks on the collar of a white shirt to school one day in imitation.

Nobody got it. Whatever.

I'm so glad for new episodes!!!

Tom Baker was the only watchable one (and even that was tenuous, at best)

Tom Baker, the 4th incarnation of the Doctor. He also always had a paper bag of Jelly Babies. I looked for Jelly babies but never was able to find any. I thought it was a fun tradition to carry candy and offer them to people randomly. Plus "jelly babies" is fun to say.

They're kind of like gummy bears. Don't forget the Beatles connection.

Yes, but "have a gummy bear" just doesn't have the same ring as "jelly baby". I guess I could use gummy bears and just call them jelly babies. Seems like cheating though and they'd probably go nasty in the heat we have here.

I have a bag of jelly babies somewhere around this house a friend from another forum brought with him when he came to visit WDW. (Why does UK sell tea and not jelly Babies at EP-ity-COT [EPCOT] )

How did everyone like the Christmas Special and first episode of the 3rd series/season. I loved the effects and mysteries, not to mention how they introduced the new companion, similar yet unique.

I've never seen an episode of Doctor Who (the fact that the same people who were constantly quoting Monty Python, thinking each time funnier than the last, were also into Doctor Who and Red Dwarf was enough to keep me away).

Last night while flipping through channels I ended up watching about 30 minutes of an episode. Some bride needs to get to her wedding. There are some Santa clad robots, a flying phone booth, and an apparently all powerful stick for controlling electronics.

Would that be representative? Because it was really lame looking (I'll admit that half an episode is never an adequate guide for judging a TV series).
