System Upgrade Tonight: 11/14, ~9pm-11pm

Listen up, hep cats and kittens. This happening joint needs to get with the times. Tonight, we'll be transporting our retro-future digs straight into the present with the newest, swankiest version of vBulletin. The stage goes dark at 9PM, but we should be back by 11 to let you cats in for the midnight show.

With the new version will come some changes. The major work's been done behind the scenes, stuff you won't notice except maybe some better performance of the boards. But here are the things you will see:

* Sick of trying to spell Szczczcczcerbiack? With the new autocomplete feature, just type the first few letters into the "To:" line of a PM or into a user name search and vB will take care of the rest.

* New and improved quick-edit. Not only will you be able to pop up an edit box without loading a separate page, the page will not have to reload once you hit submit

* New and improved post submission. No more page reloads!

* Insert image and insert link buttons on the Quick Reply window.

* Full text search

* Accurate marking of threads you have read

And that's just the official upgrades! All the swankifications you've grown to love (new mojo/posts in the welcome box, "Posts from last X hours" search, access to your entire received mojo history, and a display of whom you've given mojo recently) will remain in tact, with these improvements:

* Improved "Posts from last X hours" search. Now accessible in a drop down menu from anywhere (as well as on the search page as before), and you'll be able to search down to the minute.

* UserCP will not only display to whom you gave mojo to recently, but what those mojo comments were.
