Is anyone familiar with the Hollywood Bowl ticketing process?

I have plans to be in LA in late August, and I noticed that John Williams is conducting a concert of his music then. So of course I'd love to go!

On the Hollywood Bowl website this specific concert is only available as part of a series and only a few premium sections are available. At some point do they release the rest of the sections for general sale or do they actually sell the place out with people purchasing series tickets?
