LoT book club?
I thought it might be fun if a bunch of us read the same book, then we could talk about it in a thread or IM. Any takers?
If so, might I suggest Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell as our first book? Admittedly, I'm reading it for a real life book club, so it's rather convenient for me. I'm in the middle of Ghostwritten by the same guy, and it's good. Very weird and metaphysical, and very cool. Of course, it doesn't have to be that book, so any suggestions are welcome.

I'm game - but this may require a dangerous journey into a book shop

I have that card. The only problem is that I tend to use amazon.com more often than I go to Borders.

Oh, all right. But only because I'm a sheep.
Traci has to put David Copperfield in her reading lineup, though. |

I will not be participating if the book is David Copperfield, just so you know.

No, she just has to read it.
Sounds like some prior Dickens trauma here...? |

Of a sort. I won the battle, but I'm glad to be at a point in my life where I do not need Dickens and will not have to read any more of his stuff.
A lot of people like Dickens, but it's not for me. |
