Well, sort of. I ran across the following in the winter issue of the Friends Of The Observatory newsletter describing the new planetarium theater being built at the Griffith Observatory:

More than just one of the largest planetarium domes in the world, it will be one of the first to make use of the remarkable "seamless" dome construction technology developed by Spitz and first demonstrated at Soaring Over California in Disney's California Adventure. The tiny perforations enable audio speakers, ventilation ducts, and other equipment to be located above and around the outside of the dome, leaving the interior uncluttered. Properly lit, the dome will create the sense of an infinite sky as the audience enters.
