Tech tv/ G4

Since this is the tech area I had to ask...

Does anyone here watch this channel because I used to love G4 (but hey I am a gamer) and the domestic partner used to love watching Screen Savers (alright I loved wathing it too, but Martin Sergeant was a close second.) and now the channel has left me feeling salty. No pulse anymore. No Leo on Screen Savers. (And this whole "young, cool" thing they are trying to do.. I just don't like it...) The channel just seems wrong now... Am I the only one who feels this way??

I think everyone who used to like TechTV hates it now. It was a perfectly good channel that was swallowed by Comcast because they wanted the channels for their already crappy TV network. The ratings show that it didn't help much, but no one can really point it out because they moved the entire staff to LA, kept them for a few months, then fired them with non-disclosure agreements. Pretty low-class.

I completely agree!!!! I remember not wanting watch the "merger" and then all of a sudden bam! I find out everyone is gone and formats are totally changed.... I am glad though that Leo didn't get caught up in that mess and just left the station early....

I'm with you. I still watch Adam and Morgan for the comedy.
If you want your Leo fix, might I suggest subscribing to his podcast? It's called "The Laporte Report" and you get several minutes of Leo wisdom every couple of days. Just grab a podcast client like iPodderX or iPodder and subscribe (and while you're at it - you can grab the MousePod, too!)

I subscribe to the Laporte Report...nice way of getting my Leo fix. I just wish I got Candian G4TV with C4H.

I listen to his show on the weekends on AM 640. At least that way we can still hear him and all his wisdom.

I still watch the screen savers ocassionally (I guess out of habit) but I just can't deal with Sarah. Have you read her bio on the sceen savers site?? LamE.

I am, as we speak, on LEOVILLE.com....

TechTV is dead. G4TechTV offically switched it's name back to G4.

A company (Comcast) needs to realize that just taking over a channel's number, and taking everything good out of will not give you TTV's viewers.

Comcast took all that was good about TechTV and crapped all over it. For the life of me I can't understand the "logic" behind taking over a successful property for the sole purpose of ruining it. Were TechTV and G4 in competition? TechTV had what, ONE show devoted to games? Was this such a big threat to a channel devoted 24/7 to gaming that they just couldn't bear it?

I work near the G4 studios and I want to march over there, barge into the head honcho's office, and ask him/her just exactly what they were thinking!
