RIP Skip Carey - Longtime Voice of The Atlanta Braves

One of the many people who have provided the soundtrack of my life has passed on. Skip Carey, 68, was the longtime radio & TV voice of the Atlanta Braves for over 30 years. He died in his sleep this afternoon. I am sure many of you have heard Skip's voice during the many years the Braves were beamed to a nationwide audience on Superstation TBS. His son, Chip is a Atlanta Braves radio broadcaster (and works for TBS during their game of the week and Playoff broadcasts).

Skip joins his father, Harry Carey (famous voice of the Chicago Cubs) in the giant press box in the sky. You will be missed, Skip. You were one of a kind!
