324 Inversions in 48 hours (not counting flatrides)

Hey all,

My lovely monkey and I spent our weekend flipping upside down, bouncing up and down, and screaming at the top our lungs (then we left the hotel room).

This was Knott's Winter Coaster Solace #6, a very fun, freaktastic event that makes me even goofier than normal, and this year it was capped off with a all day visit to Disneyland and DCA.

During the ERT (Exclusive Ride Time) on Silver Bullet, we had a streak of 14 rides without getting off the train - that's 84 inversions in just one lil portion of the whole thing. We got fed lots of good food, had some good drinks (thanks Darkbeer, and a mysterious figure from Texas who seemed to know us really well), and won a few things in the raffles - Monkey won a wheel from Jaguar (it's like a big plastic donut, only it doesn't taste so good). I won an opening day kit from Silver Bullet (A fanny pack, with a wooden case inside, with a silver bullet inside), a set of pins from Cedar Point (yeah, I've got multiple pins from one of the crappiest pieces of crap that ever crapped on God's green earth - Mantis), tumblers from Geauga Lake, and my favorite, a framed picture of Silver Bullet from it's opening day.

Well, my brain is more like a big gob of jelly at the moment; the whole weekend was an awesome blur of rollercoasters and food.

Oh, Mad Tea Party - Hat Dance at Knott's POOPS all over your patheticness - I saw a double amputee girl spin her Hat Dance sombrero faster than a whole teamload of football players can spin a teacup now.

I am GREEN with jealousy! I've got a severe lack of inversions in my diet. Stupid 'Screamin, just a kiddie ride.

I wanna go next time!

Two solutions:

(1) Ride Silver Bullet at Knott's Berry Farm. Knott's has a Southern California residents special of $29.95 admission right now. I love, love, love Silver Bullet--and it's the main reason I renewed my Knott's annual pass. Well worth the visit just for this ride.

(2) Six Flags Magic Mountain currently has a $27.99 admission special if you buy and print tickets online at www.sixflags.com. Or, purchase their AP special: "Buy A Day, Play All Year Free" for a "Play Pass" for $47.99.

I feel your pain! As much as I love DL/DCA, there are times when visits to KBF or SFMM take higher priority on the weekend! Get the itch for speed/inversions out of your system at these places, and then go "home" to DL/DCA!

Wow, those two AP's together equal one Disney AP.

Both 6 Flags & Knotts are worth at least one trip a year. that's for sure.
