One Year Ago Today.......

[Not Afraid]

.....I feel in love. I had tried to adopt a pug for months to no avail. Too many cats was what most of the rescues said. I tried local breeders, but no litters were planned for the future. I tried the shelters, but couldn't find one. I found one at another, non-pug rescue, but was beat out by a former rescue client. Out of frustration I visited the place where several clients had gotten their dogs. It is a pet store, but they only go through carefully chosen breeders who they personally visit. I thought I'd at least take a look and ask some poignant questions.

Well, I fell instantly in love. One look was all it took from this little guy and he was mine. He chose me, so I had to choose him.

One year ago today, I brought home my little man, Thurston Howl. He's been the joy of my life, my constant companion and the best dog I've ever known. I love him beyond belief - and surprisingly enough, so does Chris, a staunch anti-dog person. This little man could win anyone's heart and soul as he has ours.
