Resolutions for '09, looking forward, looking back

Per tradition - here is last year's resolution thread.

I didn't do too well.

Not published (not a big goal for me anymore), don't contact family and far flung friends very often, as always.

How did you do? What do you resolve for the coming year?

I'd like to make sure to keep life interesting....to stay alert and be mindful....yet be able to relax and unplug in a healthy fashion.

I can't decide if I'm hoping Matt did or did not meet his goal for 2008.

I succeeded in not making any resolutions. I made it back to SF, and have a trip to NY planned for 09, that will probably be canceled due to $$.

I did move to France for 6 months. My resolutions for this year I think I'll keep to myself so that when I fail, no one will know but me.

I achieved the only resolution that I made last year (not getting on any Christmas card lists since I almost never get around to reciprocate).

My resolution is to be more assertive. If there are things I want and need I need to do a better job of getting out to grab them. I am very important to the people that admire me and I need to act like I am important to them. No more "Aw shucks" I realize that no one here really knows anything I am talking about but that is my resolution.

Oh and I resolve to start looking for airfare to SoCal for September this April and get my butt out your way!

I sort of made mine- I paid off several cards and lost a little bit of weight. I'll probably gain it all back tonight.

I resolve to continue with paying off the few debts I still have, and to start exercising more. I really don't eat a lot, so I am going to have to resign myself to the inevitable and just make time to work out.

My resolutions for 2009 are:

To have Bacon & scrambled eggs as the first meal of the year - Check.
To go to Disneyland.
To see Yosemite National Park Thingy.
To eat a Corn Dog.
To have a Long Island Iced Tea at the Cove Bar
To have an Irish Coffee at the Buena Vista
To see Gemini Cricket in Hawaii
To see "Wicked" in San Francisco
To eat MRE Bacon
To have a Deep Fried Turkey
To see Hearst Castle
To hug & kiss the Stoat a lot.
To meet Thurston
To see what Spokane's like
To try & spot the Governor of California (& maybe get an autograph)
To ride Xcelerator & Pony Express
To ride Nemos Subs
To ride Toy Story Mania
To have LoTs of laughs & fun with friends.

Oh, and last years? Well, I didn't get to go to Japan this year, but I am Skyping in for NYE tonight.
