My Brother Walt - a play
This year, I wrote a full-length, unauthorized play, My Brother Walt, about the stormy but vital relationship between Walt and Roy Disney. It had a well-received reading last January, but I haven't yet found a theater group to stage or workshop the show. With a Phillip Glass opera (The Perfect American) and a Tom Hanks movie (Saving Mr. Banks) also exploring this historic figure, I hope I can drum up some interest. I posted a long chunk of Act One at my website today, along with nearly the entire revised first act of my Dracula adaptation, Blood of Nosferatu. See the play excerpts here! |

				            | That's really good! I can't wait to see it be made into a show!

				            | Definitely get together a table reading. (And Skype me in!) I've done a couple of those with this play, and it's super fun. There's even a little cameo from Salvador Dali in Act Two. Oh yes, Moonliner. I'm still going. I'm composing a couple of songs that will connect with the novel, I'm polishing some short stories for the website, and I've got a start on the next book. (Also, I completed my revision of the Dracula play last month.) If regular employment should come along, and it better, it will slow down my creative productivity quite a bit. On the other hand, my power won't go out again. |
