This reminds me of how much I really love that song, so teasingly self-referential, and one of John's best vocals. I haven't got a listenable copy of the White Album! (Oh how my music wish list grows every day.)

Really amazing stuff! It totally captures the Beatles' artistic sensibilities and despite being composed of nothing but reused elements, avoids coming across as feeling stale and rehashed. I'm impressed.
