Night Inspired
Candled flicker
awoke to the sound of metal trash can hitting the concrete curb. I stretched and opened a window. opened the paper today and checked the obituaries to see if I was listed. I was not and I bit into a potato chip. logged onto the internet to check to see if anyone was looking for me. I made note. turned off the light and took a sip of water to quench my dried throat. I closed my eyes and yet they were wetter still staining the pillow. Reprise. (c)mrb |
