I do not know if this has been posted elsewhere but I find this horrifying!

A friend of mine, friend of the library posted this on FB. I was unaware.

LA Peeps: We're down to the wire on the LA Public Library. Please e-mail your city councilperson. Ask them to propose a motion that asks the library to re-examine the
current plan to layoff frontline staff in order to re-fund 27
upper-management positions. Suggest that the library budget can be
streamlined and manipulated to save fron...tline workers. For more info look at the Mayor's library budget http://bit.ly/90hof0 .
