The little red things with eyes are fish. We eat them here in my asian household. In consulting my parents, they said it was "small salted fish". Though, they couldn't tell me what kind of fish. It's very good with rice though.

I loved the pictures. Like Capt Jack, I thought the pictures and descriptions of Dreamland were hilarious. How funny IS that place... and ooh..so much like a ghost town!

The thing I cant get over is that people live in those storage bins. That's crazy.

Nope - I think they radioed ahead to each attraction, because all the cast members were standing at attention grinning from ear to ear as we approached each ride !

...we even went on the kiddy rides to make sure everyone got a turn with the "Gaijin" (Foreigners)

Aah - Shrimp/fish That makes me feel a lot better. But they still looked at you.

mistyisjafo: if it's any consolation, Shirahama is the only town where we saw the "Budget Housing"

And GD: I was just sorry there was no Haunted Mansion to recite along to !

(Oh, and the highlight of the Jungle Cruise is the full-length Plastic Croc that slides down a slope on your approach - along a pair of fully-visible rails. Too funny. I think I might have a pic somewhere. I'll try to find it.
