Waitaminute.
Stephen King is telling someone not to kill someone in their books? Look who's talking Mr. Huge Bodycount. ![]() |

You broke your Ramadar!

So silly of King et al.
It reminds me of the (apocryphal) story of American readers waiting on the docks for the latest installment of the Dickens' The Old Curiosity Shop and shouting "Is Little Nell Dead?" as the ship pulled in. I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan myself (I'm more partial to Dennis), but the mania about literature makes me happy.

I'm reading King's unabridged 'The Stand' for a third time. I just started. It's my favorite book. |

The best part of that news article is on page 2.
Edit: The line above was a failed joke. I couldn't manage to get the second page to load (kept getting "story not available") so I assumed it was broken. Apparently it's just me that is broken. Please ignore.

The Stand is one of the few books I regularly reread (like every five years or so) but I prefer the original edit to the expanded version. Stephen King was definitely better when he didn't quite yet have the clout to avoid the editing process.
