Best DLH Tower?
I haven't stayed at the Disneyland Hotel since one could take the monorail there. I don't think there were three towers then.
So, which tower is the best? Which one should we attempt to request? We don't really care about the view, but as quiet as possible (given the kids running up and down the halls) and in as good repair as possible would be nice.

The Sierra tower which faces DTD and is a squeege close to the parks is considered "the best" tower and has slightly higher room rates. One side looks over DTD and the other the neverland pool. I was upgraded to Sierra on our last trip. It was a nice room but still just a hotel room. All I can say about the noise level is that it was not a problem for us. We ran the parks from early opening to closing and by the time we made it back to the room the parade of dreams could have been practicing out in the hall it we'd never have heard it.

What do you consider the most important factors in determining best?
As Moonliner said, Sierra is considered best by view and slightly better walking distance. The conference center tower (forget the name) is much friendlier for smokers and closer (but just a little) to the restaurants. |

That's the Sierra Tower.
Bonita Tower is the one closest to the Paradise Pier Hotel and Marina Tower is the one closest to hotel registration and the conference center (that's why is is friendlier for smokers) |

I'd say the Bonita Tower is the best for quiet. We stayed there 2 years ago. We were first in the Sierra Tower just over the restaraunt(Hooke's Point?) and could hear their ventilation system as well as all of the kids at the pool. We were moved to the Bonita Tower and it was VERY quiet and we were just above the waterfalls, which provided a calm, soothing background noise. We were very pleased!

We've been in Bonita twice in the last couple of years. Once over the waterfalls and once on the other side overlooking the parking lot. Both were quiet. I think a lot just depends on what guests you get for neighbors. We did have to call the front desk because an alarm clock was going off at about 2 AM, apparaently no one was in the room.
We liked the room over the parking lot because my niece was teriffied of the booms from Remember. You could hear them still but it definately wasn't as loud.

We might request Bonita, then. I know one can't control one's neighbors, but I prefer to avoid guaranteed noise makers like the pool.
