The icky-light CFs are NASTY! The sad thing is that, I don't want to replace them until they burn out so we've ben letting them go. I'm used to the front porch icky light, but there's one in the house that i just cannot bear to have on. I suppose that's one way to save energy.
As far as being "greener" goes, I think we need a compost pile. All of out cat litter is now compostable material.
