I remember hearing a story before I left for the weekend that the gator they captured may not be the original gator - that possibly this is Reggie II. Was there anything more on that? I can't find anything.

I am a big fan of the original Reggie. On the other hand, the second Reggie stretched the whole country-gator-trying-to-survive-in-the-city-lake thing too far. I no longer cared. And the subplot about Reggie finding a suitcase full of money stolen from the mob was old & creaky even before Jaws used it. Nevertheless, dear readers, I am still looking forward to Reggie III. That one is going to r-o-c-k in the U.S.A.

I thought the OJ style overhead car drama as they took him from the lake to the zoo was just stupid. It's an alligator. Why the whole: "they're now turning right on Smith street and up ahead is 1st. We expect they'll make a left and then continue their way to the zoo where it he'll arrive in 72 degree weather." ?
