I hadn't ever really wanted one, but I have one now, and I don't know how I lived without it.

Having replaced all the carpet with laminate during my remodel, I was simply amazed at how much dirt and dust we get on our floor (which makes me shudder thinking of all the crap in the carpet, but that's another story). It only takes a day for it to look bad.

So....I bought a roomba. The robot vacuum. This thing rocks.

We can schedule it to run at the same time every day, or if we're leaving the house we tell it to run for an hour or two. It's smart enough to return to it's charger by itself. If it's running low, it goes back. It adapts to whatever type of floor it's on. It goes under beds. Around everything. It's smart enough, when we have it upstairs, not to fall down the stairs. This thing rocks.

I want more robots.

My vacuum blew up recently. (OK, maybe it didn't blow up, but there was a small fire and smoke and everything.)

Maybe I need a robot vacuum?

it arrived while out we were all camping. got it today upon arriving back at work.

its even cooler than it looked online.

now I just have to wait until winter to wear it

I'd so hoped to have it arrive before the trip. sadly it was not to be, but yeah, fits like a glove and is subtley pirate cool
