Wishing Well

Today, outside Barnes & Noble, Indi and I stopped at the big fountain to make wishes. (Jade was there too, but she apparently felt the pennies would make a better snack and promptly ate them.) I flipped my penny into the fountain and said loudly, "I wish to go to Disneyland!" It bounced out. My penny actually bounced out of the fountain. I'm guessing it hit one of the big cement fish that were sticking up rather than actually being ejected from the water, but still... Perhaps the Universe is trying to send me a message.

What wishes do you send in with your pennies today? Remember, these are everyday $.01 wishes, not grand I-want-to-fly wishes.

(Incidentally, Indi's wish was to climb in the fountain. He made that come true on the way out. I used another penny to wish him out of the fountain.)

I wish for there to be an extra hour or two sometime between midnight and 6 am.

But I always wish for ridiculous things like that that don't ever come true.

I wish for the Gelato shop that's replacing Ben & Jerry's down the street to be just as good, or better than, B&J.

Heh... wishes are funny things. You have to be careful what/how you wish for something... because it might come true!

I wish that this afternoon is slow so I can sneak out a little early and go to Disneyland.

And then I wish that traffic isn't horrible so I don't have to spend an hour in it.
