That's why I have a separate email address specifically for signing-up for things. They can spam it to their heart’s delight. I never read anything except the sign-up confirmation emails.

The only advantage to Pictage's email sign-in requirement: It allows the event's owner to view the entire sign-in list for that event. And, in our case, I caught an old boyfriend stalking our engagement and wedding photos, and was able to peg down some "anonymous" messages that we were receiving from him.
