Well, the beans are on the stove simmering right now, and smelling awesome. I added a lot of smoked ham, bacon, and garlic to them.

We only had a pound. Between that and all the ham, there's almost an equal ratio of beans.

I also added about 30 cloves of fresh garlic. Man, it's going to be a tasty but smelly night!

If I add one more thing to that pot, it's going to overflow!

We started off with 10 cups of dry beans, which expanded to over 20 cups overnight. After adding the ham bone, ham, garlic, fresh mild chilies, and bacon, there's not even room for the onion. However, that can probably go in once I pull the bone in another hour of so.

Go north for a long time. Get on the 180. Keep left when it branches off at Generals Hwy. Drive for a while. Pass a gas station. Drive some more. Camp's on the left. If you hit the end of the road, turn around and go back about 6 miles.
