helen stepped forward through the stunned crowd, her eyes wide in surprise. she strained to see the list pinned fast to the board at the center of the murmuring crowd. "huh.." she mumbled, chuckling a bit "...Im a loser, baby"

As 3894 descended the staircase in her sequined gown (by Orry-Kelly if you must know), the applause was deafening. Those invited to the exclusive and swanky affair, could only cry out, "welcome to loserdom" and applaud all the more.

Suddenly, the crowd parted and a large bear of a man stepped forward. Looking at the notice on the bulletin board, he gave a contemptuous snort and said "You're only one-fourth the loser I am, kiddo". He pulled a black Sharpie from his shirt pocket and with a flourish scribbled "Pwned"" across the note. As the crowd gasped in horror, JW strode purposefully away.

And that taste of triumph turned to bitter defeat as the stone rolled downhill, the pool filled up, and the gatekeeper opened up the door revealing in the distance, another door, another gatekeeper, and, presumably, more beyond.
