I made meatloaf and baked potato. The meatloaf is made with ground chicken, yummers!

Last night was marinated grilled chicken & rice. Tonight is meatloaf (per Boy's request) with cheesy potatos, followed by a pastel pound cake oozing with lemon glaze.

Last night beef/veggies slow cooked soup. Turned into Stew basically. Leftovers tonight.

Tomorrow new recipe....Italian Sausage with Bow Tie Pasta done in a Red Pepper Sauce.

egad. nothing! with the massive amounts of carnitas nachos I just consumed for lunch....I wont eat again until late saturday sometime.

I've been making soups lately. From scratch, sans recipe. It's very freeing to just go into the kitchen and cook something. I think I've cooked enough now that I'm getting to the point where I know what might work. I don't have a super breadth of experience that would allow me to be on Top Chef or anything, but the show does inspire me to trust myself more and try things.

Tonight, however, will probably be sushi. That I will not make myself.

On this nice, drippy day, I have a huge pot of spagetti sauce going. I also am cooking the garlic butter for garlic cheese bread. The Boy will be irritated that I didn't make his pie, but I did save him the last of the cake.
