Since I've already owned up to having some Crocs, and in so doing have committed crimes against humanity, I confess that I have them in brown, black and pink. Not day-glo pink, but ballet pink. I'll one-up ya Deebs. I own Croc knock-offs that are light pink with big bright orange flowers all over them.

I'm like the ugly shoe martyr. I have paid for all the foot fashion sins so everyone may go forth in comfort, knowing that they'll never have worn the ugliest thing known to mankind.

I have a pair that I've had for ever. I use them for gardening. They really are not comfortable enough for me to wear for more than a couple of hours. They have no support at all. I would never consider wearing them out in public any more that I would consider wearing my bedroom slippers or printed Joey Butafuco pants. Crocs are just another fashion fad that will go away when the next fad comes along.

Comfort is important but so is my personal and professional success and how I present myself make a difference. I find I can have both comfort and look good at the same time.

In my defense, I had the flu, had had a fever of nearly 103 for three days, and lived alone.

Actually, the fact that I hadn't bathed in those three days was likely the bigger problem.

I own drab Crocs which I wear at home for washing dishes and doing laundry. I have flat feet so they're the perfect amount of support and comfort for a slip-on housework shoe.

I don't wear Crocs out because I don't particularly like the way they look, but I won't wear fashionable shoes that aren't comfortable, so my feet are usually pretty happy with me.
