| ohhhh baby | I tried that, but I they never interested me and always made me wish I'd seen the performance instead.  If I like a show I'll totally buy the album to relive the experience (Spring Awakening is a good example) but it just doesn't work for me the other way around.

| Kink of Swank | Nope, SM. I'm as gay as they come, and love show tunes.  But the B'way cast recording of a show I've never seen does nothing for me. I like movie scores, too - and consider many of them the modern equivalent of "classical' music that do not necessarily require the accompanying visuals. But if I haven't seen the movie, the music also does nothing for me. Sigh, the only thing i miss about living in NYC is the theater.  |
