I used to work in a printing plant that could apply scratch and sniff (it was all clean - no Hustler). One of our clients was The Gas Company and we used to print these cards that they would pass out at elementary schools so that the kids could learn what natural gas smelled like so they could identify a gas leak. No one wanted to be in the pressroom the days that these were being run
