				            | I guess that that confirms the rumors that he was sick when he announced his retirement a couple months ago. My only exposure to him is Dana Gould doing long bits as Huell Howser on Adam Carolla's podcast. For a long time I didn't realize he was not doing an original character but an impersonation. |

				            | Huh. Just yesterday, at my farmer's mkt stand in Larchmont, near Huell's home, a customer asked me if I knew what had happened to Huell. Nobody had seen him around the neighborhood in a while. I had become used to Huell visiting my stand several weekends in a row, and then disappearing for a year. He talked a bit about the difficulty of being able to be openly gay, I teased him about his repeated questioning of a helicopter pilot about how much could actually be seen around backyard pools. I do believe he sported an "all-over" tan. At different times, he wanted to do a story on ThinKrisps (until I nixed the idea of cameras in the kitchen), and a story on Disneyland fan sub-culture, and things most people wouldn't know about the Park. I'll miss him stopping by and "visiting."

				            | There was a time when if you tried to bet anyone that Todd Bridges would outlive all his co-stars, including Conrad Bain, no one would have taken the bet.
